Correct, that is why I said PAID F. Whether payment is cash or miles on an award, you will have AL access. Years ago, a turn of a blind eye on upgraded F wasn't unusual, at least for me. Today, there is pretty strict adherence.

No I saw that. To your point about being more strict adherence to the rule, my wife and I were not flying together, she had a paid F and I was on an upgrade and they denied me access at SFO about 3 months back. My wife did check into lounge as she wanted to get a quick bit. My flight was leaving shortly so I just proceeded to the gate. Not a big deal but your are correct they seem to be definitely adhering to the rules now.
