I have very little incentive to purchase Alaska first when not originating in a city without a lounge. I tend to avoid first class fares on my return trips to SEA (when I do purchase first class) for this reason. That’s good for you. Everyone has their own price elasticity, and it varies by flight. I commute RNO-SFO, and can’t imagine paying much to sit up front when often there is no time for drink service, and the seat belt sign rarely is not illuminated. This said-really liked sitting up front on a recent SJC-HNL.
