I’m here now. Pretty much the same as other reports. I was upgraded to an executive room as a diamond. Breakfast offered in the restaurant although with all the late night steak I haven’t actually tried it yet. The lounge is open but it is just soft beverages, so they give you a voucher for two glasses of wine and a tapas in the lobby bar.

The neighborhood is sort of fake as everyone else has suggested, but it’s not horrible. It’s more like being in a made up area like midtown Atlanta or the gulch in Nashville. It doesn’t have the charm of the more historic neighborhoods, but with taxis so cheap, if you’re loyal to Hilton it’s not a bad option. I’m on a ridiculously low rate that will be lowered even further after paying with blue dollars. If I didn’t get really low rates at Hiltons I would probably stay somewhere else.

edit- restaurant breakfast was nice. Standard hot and cold buffet with an omelette station.
