Is there some way to actually confirm if WIFI is on an upcoming UA flight? For the past several months our flights have indicated prior that “WIFI is available on your upcoming flight, but a day pass now!”.. some had of course, some like SFO to KOA would have WIFI for a short period after take off (of course I knew this and didn’t bite) but for an upcoming flight from SFO to Raleigh (737-900) there is nothing indicated in the reservation, no inbound email encouraging purchase. The UA WiFi pages say “every domestic flight operated by United is now equipped with WiFi”.. but I wonder could some flights still be unserved or are they so nimble they can indicate when it’s broken for an upcoming actual plane?
