Six Senses is going the opposite direction from Bodrum and is off by itself. Best to look up the location on map. I looked very hard at trying to do a a stay there, and I am a big Six Senses fan, however I found it difficult to come to grips with the pricing for a room/villa comparable to Amanruya. Also, it's a long drive from BJV, personally I'd seek either a boat arrival or a heli, but not everyone hates long commutes like I do.
We were at Amanruya, again, less than two months ago. Service was excellent, the food is very good, and we have never had housekeeping issues there. Our fourth visit in 3 years. The key to a great villa there is pay up for the semi-view, full view villas. Also note while we were there it was approx 50% Russian guests, which personally we (Americans) could have cared less.
One thing to be aware of is that one of the mega-resorts, the "be Premium Bodrum" on that Duja/Rixos peninsula got themselves a bazillion watt sound system with mega-bass and they are hosting wedding parties every night until 4AM. The deep bass travels for literally 10 miles and all the other resorts in that area were trying to figure out how to shut down these a-holes. Contact whatever resort you plan to go to and ask if the situation has been addressed. Earplugs worked for me so that's a potential personal solution, and my wife didn't care.
Bodrum Loft is a hidden jewel no one ever talks about. Reviewed here on FT if you want to dig up that post. Suitable only if you don't care about having a personal plunge pool. Pricing is very compelling. Location is superb.
