You've apparently been looking at the reservation/itinerary/PNR only, and not the TICKET. In order to be able to fly, you need to have both a reservation and a *matching" ticket. Even if the GUC clears at the time you purchase the ticket, the ticket will first be purchased in coach or PS and then reissued in D1. You should get two separate ticket receipts by email with different ticket numbers. You can also click on words something like ticket receipt at the top center of your PNR on delta.dumb to see the *current* (latest re-issue) ticket receipt.
You should also normally get a new ticket number and new receipt every time there's a schedule change (including just a change of flight number) or re-booking.
