Only posted so that Forum members can see that Amex has different reps for different options on call in. ie., - call retention phone number, one offer; call card phone number and ask to cancel another offer, which was substantially more.
You wanted Amex to match a combined Welcome Bonus and Referral Bonus for a Personal Platinum as a retention offer for a Business Platinum.
Why would they do that? And the CSR just reads what the algo shows her/him.
You decided „no 130k MR then I cancel“ but why as a free renewal would still have advantages (cell phone, airline , Dell, …). If they are worthless to you then that is that, but I can always get some value out of it.
BTW the posted referral offers are

and there are plenty NLL Biz Platinum offers for 150k around (Amex sends me one every der month) if you want to get more MR
