I am, by the way, boycotting EI until they rejoin OW. Their setup within IAG is pure cakeism. Plenty of alternatives and I also have plenty of patience.
The Fast-Track purchasing issue is solely due to staffing levels in security screening at Dublin Airport. Those flying business class still have it and the Ryanair passengers who purchase it do as well, both due to commercial agreements. It will come back for all to purchase soon enough as the staffing issue is only temporary. They have a lot of new staff coming online this month and more as time goes on, so it won't be long, as it's a nice revenue earner for the airport.
I will be surprised if EI rejoin oneworld. Can't see the fees being worth it. One of the reasons they left was because they did not want to have to pay to integrate their bespoke ASTRAL reservations system (which went live in 1968) with JAL, RJ and MA who joined in 2007. That was the main reason. I could see them as a oneworld connect member a la Fiji Airways though, with ties to probably AA, BA, AY, IB and AS, but as a full member? While that would be extremely welcome, I'd say it's unlikely... as they still have the same reservations system today.
