But why not take SQ12, the same flight goes SIN NRT NRT LAX?

JL712 should align fine with JL62. 16:20 arrival, 17:20 departure. Of course on separate tickets, an hour is a bit risky. But JAL should be able to sell one ticket all the way.

Thanks. We have 1st tickets on JAL that we didn’t want to give up, so that’s why we are trying to jump through hoops to save them. Will try looking more on the SQ forum. The search function on FT is not that great. 😔
