I had a great stay at Carte. Having access to a real gym, Fit Little Italy, is a very nice perk. I didn’t receive a diamond upgrade but my high floor room was excellent and seemed brand new. Room was comfortable, modern and worked well. There’s a little adjacent construction on the bay side so I took the city side to minimize possible noise.

The rooftop restaurant has a nice atmosphere and presentation. The food was good but not exceptional, and they have a happy hour for appetizers and drinks. I used free night certificates, and as diamond the destination fee was waived. The hotel includes $30 food credit per day, and my diamond benefit was another $30 (2 guests). The diamond portion carries over from day to day and the other does not. You can easily burn $15 on breakfast but they also have to go food at the counter.
