In case of missing your flight, the transit desk or even better the business lounge is your friend.
As a small datapoint, a passenger who has missed his flight would not be able to go to the Business Lounge unless he's already airside as the barriers at transfer security would not open. ( In case transfer security is needed )
In that case, there are also dedicated Business Class transfer desks at the main transfer hall.
