Spanish National Police (who control the immigration kiosks at Spanish airports) have just announced that they will add 500 police officers to 12 airport delegations, 200 of them at Madrid / Barajas. This after Iberia publicly complained that more than 15,000 passengers on Iberia Group flights had missed their onward connections in the past three months, due to lack of staffing at immigration points.
