Question Can’t add children to BA household account w/o prompt to add to Executive Club

Hi,

Newbie question here - I have a BA Exec club account and I created a household account. That worked fine, I then invited my family (wife and two kids - 3 and 6).

I got the emails sent to their unique addresses (that come to one family inbox) and accepted their invites.

However when you accept the children’s invites it takes you to a page to create their Executive Club account (which is age restricted).

The only button at the bottom is to join, so I fill out the details and it states:
  • Sorry, we are unable to create an account with these details.
So there are no other options to “continue” with the child accepting the household invitation. So when you close the page and login the invite still hasn’t been “accepted” and is “pending”.

Any ideas? I tried everything checked browser restrictions (VPN, blocker, cookies) and it’s not that and also tried on different devices.

I called up BA and they were not helpful, I eventually got my issue forwarded to their IT team and their reply by email didn’t fix the issue.

All ideas welcome! 🙏
