Just a note that the beach here is completely unswimmable due to undertow and riptides, even for the strongest of swimmers. It's my understanding several tourists have drown after being swept out to sea by rogue waves. It's a stunningly beautiful resort and we've been twice and will return several more times. Enjoy your private plunge pool or the resort pools, but don't try to swim on the Pacific side. Visit Medano beach if you would like to swim in the ocean.
