Split reservation - agent put 7yo on his own PNR
I had 4 people on 1 domestic award reservation, including two 7 year olds. I contacted text support to have 2 split off so we would be eligible for upgrades. I explicitly said Adult 1 and Child 1 on one reservation, and Adult 2 and Child 2 together on another reservation. Well, the agent split Adult 2 and Child 2 each onto two separate reservations. The agent then transferred me to a Skymiles specialist, who said there's nothing she can do to put them back together, besides rebook at current fares, which I figured was the case. She linked the 3 reservations.
The second agent apologized, as she could see my original request, and suggested I provide feedback on DL.dumb. Are there any other options/recourse?
Besides online check-in, will I run into any other issues during travel? I have had good experiences with text support until now...
