What you've mentioned is my one concern with SQ. Is it hard to get the bulkhead b/c I believe it has a huge ottoman straight in front of you and isnt like the other rows. Are those held for their elite members?
The last time I flew J on SQ, the bulkhead seats were blocked out until 48 hours before departure - and I then managed to claim all 4 of them for my family. It was well worth the effort, they were very very comfy.
