The resort fee discussion is tiresome. It is part of the price. It is used to make advertised rates look lower than they really are. That obviously, is not commendable. Other than that, if a hotel was ever to "stop" that practice, do you think they would lose the profit and you would save money? Plus, the practice is usually fairly consistent by market / location. Ie - it's not a surprise in Vegas or a big beach destination. Like seriously, a room rate could go up $100 a night, and most people wouldn't bat an eye. $25 resort fee? Lose mind!
