I had a partner flight cancelled at the airport and was rerouted on a non partner. Textbook ORC per the AS terms.
I sent a clear, concise email with the terms and link referenced in post #37 pasted at the bottom. No reply for over a month. I called in to ask.

Multiple supervisors gave nonsense reasons why it wasn't allowed (only when rerouted to a partner, only delays not cancellations, no with no reason). Fortunately I had the time to wait being on my commute and I had a perseverant agent who was willing to read the terms. Eventually according to the agent a manager went to the AS website to read the terms, then overrode the supervisors and everything posted correctly.

I wouldn't count on any wiggle room with non partner ORC. AS rather than partner IRROPs might be different. If my case hadn't been unambiguously covered by the terms, it would have been denied.
