Interestingly, I just booked at KUL-SIN Lite fare. I am OWE (AA EXP). The system says MYR0 when I pick a seat but then wants to charge me when I try to confirm the seat. Online checkin opens in a few hours. We'll see what happens.
Seat selection at OLCI shows "free" for OWE (not exit row or extra legroom) but a payment alert comes up after check in. Called MH Enrich Platinum and the agent demanded payment. So essentially no seat even after OLCI. Will see how it goes at the airport. Interested to hear about your OLCI experience.
