  • Pre-pandemic, AAL, kid on his way to boot camp gets a bump to first (thank you for your service).
  • Sits next to me, first time on a plane.
  • We're served a quinoa salad with dinner, he asks me if quinoa is a nut.
  • Haagen-dazs ice cream comes out, butter pecan.
  • I take a bite and stop him before he does.
  • His comment "that would have been really bad"...
