I suggest doing as per what I wrote previously and that applies for your outbound. Your inbound will remain the same as booked, as long as no involuntary change occurs.
Thank you for your advice, and you're right, the BA legs MAD-LHR and LHR-BCN haven't changed at all. But on BA.com the booking shows 6 flight legs that have been cancelled: AA LHR-SEA, AS SEA-MFR (x3), AS MFR-SEA, AA SEA-LHR.

So the BA flights still exist but they don't connect to anything. We've got a pretty blank piece of paper to start from at this point, I'm just trying to figure out just how blank it is. I'm very thankful for all the BA experts here who are sharing their knowledge.
