HUACA. That's nonsense. Probably learned in training to promote BA flights, but it's not like you can only have ones in your itinerary.

I'd ask for what you originally planned. There's no reason why AS from LAX shouldn't be doable. It was originally bookable and you have an involuntary change, so you just need another BAgent, if you encounter issues with AS. Another option is to fly AA, BA or AY and connect via SEA, PDX or PHX to MFR.
