You were booked in Y. The emails often show wrong cabin information, but that's completely separate from what you were actually booked in.
Pre 2020, if you booked a J award, but were in a mixed cabin situation, I thought they would seat you in J if there was a seat available at check in. Is that not how it used to work? I thought I booked a J award because it said Business on the email, but was seated in Y because there were no J seats available.
