That is exactly the point. Much easier and quicker to get your money from cc/insurers; then you let them deal with LH afterwards/when doing recourse.
I went to fill out the claim through my CC and they ask for a copy of my claim with the airline. As far as I know Lufthansa doesn’t have a formal claim process just an email address to submit to. I just attached a screenshot of my email. Think that would do the trick for my CC?
