Just returned from an amazing two night stay, with both nights on Aspire certs. Incredible property that begins with the drive up through the tunnel. Service was best I’ve ever experienced at a hotel, with staff (there are a LOT of them, btw) both anticipating your needs and exceeding expectations. We were celebrating an anniversary and upon check-in at the hotel, we were informed that we were upgraded to a Dos Mares Jr Suite (1400 sq ft, outdoor terrace with a fireplace, plunge pool, two loungers with a straight-on ocean view, etc). I am a Diamond via the Aspire card, naturally.

A few things to note:

- We asked via our concierge before arrival to substitute the daily happy hour beers for margaritas. We were informed that it would be $20 per person (no thanks).
- You can start reserving pool chairs at 7am. There is a staff person who will write your room number down and pull up the back of the chair, to show that it’s reserved. Chairs that are fully flat haven’t been claimed yet. Staff member said the rule is you need to be back within 90 minutes (I think), but that didn’t seem to be enforced. But there was no issue getting a spot.
- It was VERY windy in the afternoon and evening. I mean, windy!! Not sure if it was a random thing or whatnot, but we didn’t have nearly the wind once we moved to The Cape.
- As a Diamond, it is a $10 up charge to get the hot items on the buffet. Plenty of options there, so no need to order something from the menu.
- Not sure if it was because we were in a suite, but our mini-fridge came stocked with Coke, water and juices that were free and replenished daily.
