I thought you would choose Harrys Bar in Venice. But you've chosen the Gritti Palace. I didn't think of it on reading this thread as I'm not a drinker. But I love sitting on the Gritti Deck for the reasons that you say. It's in incredibly special place for the reasons that you give.
