As for toiletries and neccessary clothing you should try your travel insurance for reimbursement first; if no coverage for delayed checked luggage you should submit to LH for reimbursement.

Please note that it will take LH 6-8 weeks to respond to your claim for reimbursement.

thanks I will do all that. My credit should cover the travel insurance aspect (though LH did say they would.. I suspect the CC will be easier to deal with)
