No, it doesn't. A3 stopped flying ATH-KRK completely. If they had only had changed the schedule, I'd have been likely able to accommodate it but there is no way to depart from KRK with A3 at all. I will try A3 to either fly me to WAW on LO, from which A3 are flying, or move me to LH. This would still be worse that the original flight but at least from the original airport.
Anyway, I hate such waste of time arguing agents and I don't understand such policies. They are trading a small short term profit with the long term loss of image. I've always had positive experiences with Aegean costumer service. Not anymore.
I agree that it seems short-sighted but I get the impression that covid has made all travel companies just look at short-term cash flow rather than long-term satisfaction.
On the tickets we had booked, I don’t really believe that adding one LH flight would have cost A3 more than refunding us in full. I think you have more chance of getting them to agree to a short domestic connection on another airline than rebooking the whole thing to LH. Unless it would only be an LH feeder flight connecting to A3 metal? I think keeping the XXX-ATH leg on A3 is the most important factor for success.
