Thats why I book J on condor. 20,000 Alaska elite miles from the west coast (so instant MVP or instant MVP to GOLD) plus huge RDMs that equal a free Alaska flight too. Plus the PDX flight leaves at 7pm, so it’s late enough you really can sleep.
This is why I booked DE on my last trip in J also. That 20K bonus put me over 100K for AS for the year. I have moved back to UA for the rest of the year and don't have to worry about cancelled flights too much
