I was just able to use a GGU on a flight from OGG>PDX. The upcharge was $30 which is about the most I'll pay. There's a pretty good chance I'd have been upgraded anyway it's nice to have to even think about it. Fwiw, I have been seeing a few more eligible fares west coast to Hawaii lately.
