Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive? Booked the first night (cheapest room) on points as arrived late and the subsequent nights we booked a two x queen club room. The points room was upgraded to Club level and the paid nights were not upgraded. The hotel had no suites with two beds. Received 10,000 points high registered during our stay. We were on holibobs so only slept in the room.
How are the rooms? Next door to the club lounge. Room was large, contained the two beds, two armchairs, a footstool and coffee table. Desk against the wall. Quite a long corridor from the door to the room, the wardrobe was here. No bath which was disappointing. Byredo amenities in industrial sized pumps mostly screwed to the wall.
How is the exec. lounge? Decent spread for breakfast and evening nibbles. Nothing much for afternoon tea. We ate lunch out and the evening assortment was sufficient for dinner. Fizzy pop was free but booze was paid. I used my $25 Ambassador allowance for a few beers.
What was good and what was bad? Good We used the pool and gym every day, four level upgrade for the points night. Received two lots of welcome points. Central location near the waterfront and also handy for shops and restaurants. Union Station for the airport shuttle is next door.
Bad No Bath. No afternoon tea. No upgrade for the paid nights.
Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return? This was our second stay and we would return. Paid 40k points for the first night and just over £300 a night for the paid nights.
