It is walkable - have done this myself to the hotels in the Gateway Gardens area (Hyatt Place, Moxy, Hampton Inn). But if you have large luggage, I do not recommend it. It is about 20 minutes or you take the train to T2 and walk from there (about 10 minutes)

Adjacent to terminal 1 are Sheraton and Marriott (next to the terminal) and Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn (a bit futher aways at the long distance train station). All hotels are connect by the same covered walkway with the Terminal 1
