LAX-YUL today 3 J pax never put on a mask, none of them were once addressed by any cabin crew and told to put one on.
Politics of masking aside, if it’s a government mandate, it should be abided by.
I wonder if the crew are simply fed up with the fight?
Edit: Just as I’m posting this the pilot on my connecting flight came on and affirmed it still was very much policy.
Last week when I was speaking with an SD, they mentioned US flights to and from Canada, some crews are more relxed. Foreign airlines are also more relaxed as in the US and Europe these mandates are no longer in effect. Common sense and logic should never be excused for silly or outdated policies.
I remember when we could not use a wireless mouse on flights because it was one of those silly rules. Had to hide my mouse in a pillow case to use. Or we cant use a cell phone on board an aircraft even when parked at the gate, and yet the baggage handler right next to the plane can use one?
Most folks are done and tired of these mandates. is it a big deal that some folks are no longer wearing masks ahead of this policy finally being withdrawn???? I take an hour and half to enjoy my meal and coffee and when doing so I am not wearing a mask, so what is the difference? I also do not use a mask when in the bathroom!!!
