With that said, Delta still have an interline agreement with Virgin. I think they also still have an interline with Qantas and Air New Zealand as well. Looking at a random date in December, looks like you can take Delta JFK-LAX-SYD then connect on SYD-MEL on Virgin. Same for PER.
To me the link up between REX & DL (if it happens) will be a simple ff partner;- no JV or ownership.
REX do not fly AU east coast to Perth. And zero chance they will. REX have been reducing schedules. Buyer beware.
