Well it looks to me that Graciecatt's service landed at 06:02, which was actually 30 minutes late, and she would have been at passport control I guess 10 minutes or so after that. There were 2 flights from Brazil that arrived before her (and early) and a Conakry service at 05:36, though that's an A320 so not massive. A Boston srevice came in a few minutes after EWR. So she did arrive at a good time, plus it was mid week. There were several wide bodies that arrived in the following hour, so I suspect at 07:00 hrs today there would have been at least some queues. For your service at 06:00, if you are early or on time you should also be OK, whereas a 30 minute delay would be unhelpful. See our posts 18 and 19 so I don't think the outcome here was a surprise to either me or Graciecatt.
