Personal view, you are not missing much. I never understood how they slapped an Alila name onto this property as it isn't really what the brand was trying to represent.

Having said that, I do fully understand the appeal of a decent (I'm not saying it is a terrible place) sized room / suite in a central location for 5k points a night. That part is certainly good value, but a luxurious place it is not really. I think it works well if you like the hustle and bustle and want to be in the happening area and will not want to spend all day lounging and chilling at a relaxing, high end property. YMMV.
