I have held both cards for many years. I don't pay for the TD card by maintaining a minimal $5,000. in my chequing account, so that's a plus. Honestly though, I use it very infrequently as the Amex card has so many more travel related benefits and offers. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Amex have upped their game by having a number of offers that ranged from being basically free grocery and restaurant money to saving hundreds of dollars on hotel or airline bookings that totalled well over $1,000. in additional savings exclusive of the $200 annual credit. Currently I'm sitting on an offer that will save me $250 on any UA booking over $500. That's in addition to 11 other offers that are in my Amex account. For me, it's a no-brainer. When travelling abroad, I use a Scotiabank Passport Visa card with no FX fees. These are my two most used travel cards.
