on a side note, i thought i was going to be one of the most frugal people heading here but how have you made it all the way to Bora bora and $280 is the most expensive dinner in your life?? like how?
even basic steakhouse like mortons for 2 is EASILY over that without drinks...
The duck was good but I would rather have a nice Dry Aged Ribeye for that much money. I cook enough steak that I don't care for steakhouses. My go to when we go out to eat dinner here in California is Sushi or Mexican food. I've spend over $300 for dinner for 4 or more but not for 2 people. Avg night for us when we were there was $150-200 a night. We don't drink alot at the restaurant so didn't spend much on booze.
