Just drop the tickets. No issue about no-show unless you intend to rebook them later.
As you are already aware keep monitoring for delays, schedule changes and cancellation.
As a reference point a few years ago I was prepared to ditch a cheap CPH-BJS-SGN return ticket on Air China as I wasn't able to travel. Fortunately, on the day of departure it became clear that my first flight would depart with a delay (but I would still be able to make the connection at BJS) and after I called Air China arguing that I wasn't prepared to travel on the delayed flight, the ticket was cancelled and I got a full refund. Boy did I feel good that day...
