Next update : Went to the Evex luggage store in Mississauga and picked a new bag. Seems like what they offered is less than what was paid for the original. Not sure why AC asks what you paid for the bag if what they are offering as replacement is based on their valuation. The store said they offer 'similar' bags based on the quality and type of bag, not always based on brand. So a hardshell 29" would get a hardshell 29" but not a premium brand unless they think your bag was worth more.
