Now leaving. Overall had a pretty great time, but admittedly most of it was upgrading to the pool villa. If I was in a standard room, idk how I would feel, because outside of my room I'm mixed (although mostly good). I actually really enjoyed the french restaurant (at least the salmon appetizer and scallops dinner) but if I didn't have the free diamond buffet yeah...I'd prob still be hungry. The chinese restaurant was great with huge portions and lived up to the better reputation. Braised pork belly was so delicious! Where the property could be improved are the rooms themselves (outside of the pool, the villa was not as nice as Conrad Maldives and other peers) and service. The first day I had to bring my luggage to my room myself because it was not delivered and when I asked, it had not been delivered for like 2 hours so I just did it myself. To rebrand as a Waldorf they are going to have to put A LOT of work in. I've now done Conrad Maldives and Bora Bora so next is Waldorf Maldives. This time I think I'm okay forgoing the OVW as the beach villas at Waldorf Maldives look stunning on their own.
