i think if most people knew their batteries have a lifespan, they wouldn't use it as much and would want in-flight power .. business flyers that fly often on 757's would use up more battery time and will then have to fork over $100 for a new battery sooner ..
most batteries automatically flip inactive after around 1000 charge cycles .. 2 of my 3 original dell 5000 batteries have flipped even though they still held on to their charges well
