If you pollute, you are polluting. There is no way to get the genie back into the bottle. Some offsets may make you feel better but until there is a CO2 depleting and O2 making machine that is practical, it is just a game.

The bottom line is to travel only when necessary or when very important. Mileage runs for points and miles is wasteful and bad.
