FB award tickets, particularly the promo offers often require a lot fewer miles than the SkyMiles version of things and FB is a dance and transfer partner for all the major credit card players in the USA.

However the low number of XPs you get for a US domestic route when you credit to FB make it really unattractive to credit those flights to FB.

So IMO it’s actually pretty easy to end up with Delta status from actually flying and some moderate use of a co-branded credit card and then generate a bunch of MR points via stuff like the Rakuten shopping portal and then wait for another 25% MR to FB transfer bonus and continue to build the FB stash.

So it’s good to hear that KLM does have a way holding two different FF numbers in their system because it would be nice to have SkyTeam Elite+ map neatly to a FB award ticket….

And I don’t think I’m too weird or obscure for that kind of things.
