I called the hotel shortly after booking and asked if they could make a note on the reservation that I have back to back stays and asking if they could keep us in the same room. Since I'm a Diamond they happily applied an "upgrade" to the points night so both were now 1BR Suites. All was well until today when it appears the cash booking was processed for an automatic upgrade to a Park View room. I called again just to make sure the rooms would remain the same, and they stated they would just complimentary bump the second night (points) up to park view as well. The only issue I am seeing is that now instead of only showing points as the rate cost on the free night, it is now showing 95K Points + $904. Is this an known issue or will I be charged $904 unless I get someone to fix it? Obviously I appreciate they accommodated me but don't want to be charged $904 on the points redemption.
Thanks
Late to the game responding, but the same thing happened during my stay there back in October. Called the front desk and they said they see it as points only, and I was never charged.
