As much as I agree the AC app is super buggy, in this case I should have been clear that the points haven’t left the Amex app either. My statement closes on the 20th and last month they transferred on the 21st. This month I figured it would be later because of the long weekend, but it’s now the 28th and still they haven’t transferred. Will give them a call midweek if they still haven’t.
No issues with the SQ transferring which has been super speedy and usually go mid-statement once the $5k spends complete.
Called Amex today and after a long time of explaining the issue and the rep not getting it he came back and said there was an issue with the transfer and it will be fixed but the points won’t transfer until the next statement closes.
I wasn’t redeeming immediately so it’s no big deal for me, but I would have been pissed were I about to redeem those miles, as it’s over 50,000. I don’t totally buy the explanation though. I wonder if it’s more that it’s a new card and I had almost $17k of spend in the second month. I think they’re waiting to see if I’m good for it - although I have nothing to back up that instinct.
