We just had a 7-night stay here on points before going to the races at Monaco and have returned here now before leaving the area tomorrow. We did a suite night request for the 7 days but were turned down… no surprise, I’m sure they were fully booked due to events in the area. However, we were “upgraded” to a city view balcony room as opposed to the courtyard view with no balcony, only windows, which was the only choice given for a points stay.

The room itself is comfortable and clean but nothing special décor-wise. The bathroom was nice and efficient. A fridge and industrial sized Nespresso machine are in the room. The balcony is about 18 inches deep, so no sitting out on it enjoying the view… you pretty much just know it’s there. A/C worked well and we had some hot days here. The rooms have “wood” vinyl floors which I like since I don’t have to not think about what could be hiding in the carpet. The internet worked reasonably well… I’ve experienced worse.

The breakfast buffet had a large variety of items and I saw some people ordering omelettes. There is no lounge so one could choose 750 points instead of breakfast if desired. The location is great for shopping, cafes, exploring old town and surrounding area. There’s a restaurant (need reservations) and a bar area on the 10th floor which is a terrace, and was a nice spot.

For our night before our flight, again I requested a suite-night upgrade and it was awarded: a junior suite garden view. Not what I was hoping for but when we arrived, we found ourselves in a corner room on the 7th floor (real balconies on floors 7, 8, 9) with a balcony that wrapped around the corner and a sweet view of the garden and the sea. Cool. Lovely, in fact, so we are pretty happy with the hotel and decided to stay in and order room service. The menu isn’t huge but it will do for us.

I have no idea about the parking since we used taxis and buses, but there’s construction happening and street parking seems pretty full. We were here as tourists, not for work.

If anyone wishes, I can post photos of the room later on. I hope this helps someone with their decision-making. We’d definitely stay here again, no question. The people were friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean and comfortable.
