There are NO toll roads in Germany (only trucks must pay). If you drive through Switzerland you must buy a vignette https://www.ch.ch/en/travel-and-emig...rway-vignette/ . You can buy them at the border. In Italy you pay toll at toll booths. Roads are normal four lane sometimes six lane highways. In Switzerland ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A2_motorway_(Switzerland) )/ Italy you will pass the Alps with a lot of tunnels, bridges and changes in elevation but roads are normal highways/motorways.
