HI, I have been making a few economy flights recently from BHD to LHR and often end up ordering a gin and tonic onboard. Yesterday afternoon (Sat 28th BA 1417) . there was no mention of speedbird cafe and just water and crisps offered. I asked the steward why Speedbird cafe had not been mentioned and was told that because BHD - LHR is such a short route, speedbird was not offered!!! Luckily he asked me what I was looking for and got me one from Club. What was going on here? Was wifi not available on the plane.so speedbird could not be offered or something else? Have I just been lucky on other flights? To me being able to buy a G&T is hugely higher in customer satisfaction that a bottle of water!!!!
