QF premium awards are extremely hard to catch even in normal times. These days premium cabins seem to be full on pretty much every carrier. Also, the fact that AS shows only a 330 day calendar for flights makes it even harder. BA and QF, on the other hand, lets you book 355 days in advance and they end up grabbing awards first.
